mmLearn.org goes Spanish!
mmLearn.org va Espanol!
mmLearn.org, the web-based, distance-learning service that provides free education, training and support to those caring for older adults, now offers videos and programs for caregivers in Spanish. The videos aim to provide help and support for professional, family and pastoral givers of senior adults. Some of the topics addressed in the videos are depression, fall prevention, medication management, nutrition, spirituality and more.
“We are excited to be able to reach the vast Latino market in San Antonio and throughout the nation,” said Vice President of Training and Founder of mmLearn.org, Maria Wellisch. “ This is a demographic we have always wanted to help for many, many years and now our dreams have come true all thanks to the Humana Foundation grant we have so graciously received”
Since it’s founding in 2007, mmLearn.org has produced over 300 free webcast videos and has grown from a local service of Morningside employees, to a resource for caregivers in the U.S. and 98 countries. mmLearn.org is dedicated to providing quality online training that improves the quality of care received by older adults and anyone seeking practical ways to meet the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of older adults in their care.
