October 14, 2020

Dear Residents, Family Members, and Friends of Morningside Ministries,

This week we are reporting a total of three positive COVID-19 cases; two Skilled Nursing staff members and one Independent Living resident at The Meadows in San Antonio. All those who have tested positive are unrelated incidents and are also all asymptomatic, and safely self-isolating at home. Per state requirements, weekly/monthly COVID-19 testing for Skilled Nursing residents and staff continues to be provided.

The Texas Health & Human Services Commission has created rules and regulations surrounding visitations at senior living facilities. Please know that we are working within those parameters to allow visitations at both of our communities however, those rules and regulations are subject to change as the situation continues to evolve. Current visitation opportunities are as follows:

  • The Menger Springs community in Boerne is now hosting visitations at all levels of living. Please continue to follow the guidelines provided to you by the Executive Director.

  • Outdoor visitations will be hosted at The Meadows Assisted Living facility on Thursday, October 15th from 9-11am. To schedule a visit with your loved one, please email: MeadowsVisitations@mmliving.org.

  • The recent positive cases at The Meadows Skilled Nursing facility have unfortunately eliminated the possibility of conducting visitations at this time.

Morningside Ministries remains committed to transparency surrounding COVID-19 at our communities, while also respecting the privacy of those involved. We will continue to provide you with weekly updates on our efforts surrounding COVID-19. Thank you for your patience and continued support while we navigate through this challenging situation. Should you have any questions, please contact your respective administrator.

Sincerely,

Patrick Crump

President & CEO
