It is not uncommon for otherwise independent seniors to find themselves in need of temporary or extended professional care. After surgery, older adults may require assistance with medication, medical equipment and more. Additionally, chronic illnesses such as diabetes, COPD, Alzheimer’s and more require monitoring and care that may be too difficult to manage alone. Home health makes it possible for seniors to remain in their home and still receive the care that a senior living community would provide. Morningside Ministries even offers these services to residents of our independent living communities who do not yet require a higher level of care.
Achieving greater independence is our goal when caring for our patients, whether coming home from the hospital, a skilled nursing facility, or returning from a doctor visit. Our team of skilled nurses, therapists, and social workers offer comfort, compassion, and dignity to our patients, while always showing respect to their families.
